Moving from our Home

December 2018 we moved from our beautiful home that we built, poured countless hours making it beautiful, brought our kids home to, and have lived in and loved for the past 14 years. It was an emotional decision, but Travis and I both knew it was time. By selling our house, it would help to get our life back in order and to move on to something new to create together. We will miss our home and the amazing neighbors, church, and friends that we have made over the years. We lived in a beautiful small town that will always be one of my favorite places.

PS – These pics are my house after getting it “show” ready. It doesn’t have any personal pictures and all my knick-knacks (that I love!). But it was nice to declutter and have a super clean and simple house for a couple months while we showed it. When we moved we also got rid of 90% of our furniture. I wish we didn’t get rid of a couple pieces, but most of the furniture was replaceable. We filled up 2 10×40 storage units and I can’t even imagine getting another one to fill it with more furniture (and paying for 3 storage units!).

About {Modern} Pioneer Girl

Who knew a girl raised in the city on fruit loops and main stream education...would grow up to be a country girl who loves everything pioneer, homeschools her 3 littles, and has morphed into a crazy chicken lady. Welcome to My Unlikely Life! Here you will see everything from raising my beloved chickens, being a mom and homeschooling my kids, and living in the country. I love everything about it...and I hope you do too!
