I used to dreaaaaaaad oral reports when I was younger. To stand in front of a classroom and give a report made my nerves on end! I would get a stomach ache and literally be sick about it!!!
I still don’t love to talk in front of a group, but guess what….I am really really excited and happy that my kids have to give reports in their co-op classes! They are actually excited to do it and they are really good at giving reports. I love to see them stand in front of other kids and have to not be afraid to do something that I think is really terrifying for lots of kids in public school. These kids know they are surrounded by friends…nobody is going to make fun of them…everyone is respectful to the person giving the report….and that makes them enjoy giving reports! How great would it be if it was like this everywhere?!?
