Bribing for Good Grades

Bribing probably isn’t the best word to use…since it typically means to persuade someone illegally.  But I am a homeschool mom of 3…I am trying to persuade them to WANT to get good grades 🙂  It isn’t bad…right?!?

They are great students and we love to learn together.  I love to teach them … and what teacher doesn’t love to see a good grade at the end of a unit.  It means they were listening!  And hopefully it isn’t just me that thinks that their kids never listen!!  So this year I decided that when I see 100% – that deserves a prize!

If one child gets 100% the other two gather around and dump out the prizes and they first study the prizes…img_6752

Then they really get a close look at the prizes…then they usually do process of elimination until they are left with the prize they are putting in their collection.img_6751

Looky here!  Ryker got 100%!  img_6756

This is Ryker’s bag of prizes he has already earned.  They love these little animal erasers. img_6757

If something so small makes them feel rewarded for doing their best…I am all for it!!
