End of Season Garden

The garden has had a couple weeks to repair after the momma deer came in and ruined a couple things.  She ate my whole huckleberry bush (my first time planting one…and it was HUGE!), all my strawberry leaves, my beet tops, my whole butternut squash plant and finished off my amazing zucchini plant.  BUT I have gotten some produce from my garden…

This year I have gotten lots of zucchini, peas, some small tomatoes, 4 green bell peppers, lots of rhubarb, potatoes, onions and herbs!  My herbs did awesome this year parsley, cilantro, basil….and I am PLANNING on picking the rest of my garden this week which should include carrots, beets, and spaghetti squash.  I will also have pumpkins in a couple weeks ready to pick….and sadly, no big tomatoes this year.  I CANNOT grow tomatoes!  I have a problem and I don’t know what it is but I have never been able to grow them…and I still can’t.  But I will try again next year.img_6009 img_6010

This is my huge parsley plant…I am going to pick it and try dehydrating some herbs this year!  I’m excited.
