Ahhhhh! It is May and that means that our homeschool year is winding down! I am so excited to wake up and be able to go directly into my yard to garden and keep up with all those dang weeds that multiply and divide overnight…each.and.every.night! Aaaannnnndddd …. don’t tell the students …. but momma needs a break from school too!
This year I have 2 of the best little students. I will introduce them fully in another post, but I am currently teaching Trynitee who is in 3rd grade and Aubree who is in 1st grade. They have rocked this year and I think maybe even learned a thing or two from their momcher (mom/teacher…whaaaa???…teachers can make up new words!).
On this blog I want to focus weekly on what our schedules are like, what we do, what works for us and what doesn’t, tips and tricks that I have found helps for these kiddos to get them motivated to want to learn! It really isn’t that hard! And it is really satisfying to see your kids grow and learn and be there every step of the way! Homeschooling is probably the best calling I have in my life…next to being a mom…but with homeschooling I get to do both at the same time! Win, Win!
(These pics are from a field trip we took last week to This is the Place State Park…the kids loved it and learned a bunch. I was overly obsessed with all of the authentic pioneer cabins and history that surrounds this park. I couldn’t take enough cabin pictures…here are a few 🙂 )
